27th Annual Cricket Match – Sunday July 11 2010
Sandhurst Group Practice played Atkinson’s Nursing Homes in the 27th Annual Cricket Match in July at its usual venue, the Sandhurst Recreation Ground.
The match saw the doctors beat the nursing home and Dr John Thing passed on to the baton for organising next year’s event.
Sandhurst Town Mayor Carole Cupper, who has chosen the Dr Howard Stilliard Memorial Fund as part of her Mayor’s Appeal was there.
“I have chosed this charity as the Mayor’s Charity because I believe we should do all we can to help children and young people in the area who need our help and deserve to have all the opportunities available to them,” she said.
All proceeds will be split between the Dr Howard Stilliard Memorial Fund and the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
